Places We Protect

The goal of the Driftless Area Land Conservancy is to protect the rural landscape and quality of life in southwestern Wisconsin including the protection of farms, forests, grasslands, wetlands, soils and the natural beauty of the region.

This goal is most effectively achieved with careful planning of priority areas within large, undivided blocks of land (see link on right). The Conservancy is active in all areas of our four-county focus region; the priority areas are those that are defined as high importance by diverse conservation organizations and, with funding and landowner interest, we will continue to work diligently to help preserve them.
