Meet Little Critters that Make a Big Noise: Friday May
**due to cold weather we have moved this event to the alternate date of Friday, May 17**
Join the Driftless Area Land Conservancy and UW-Madison researcher Jeremiah Yahn on Friday, May 17 at 7:30 PM to see frogs and toads up close. You’ll learn about frog ID and biology, and kids will have fun exploring and catching frogs.
The location is a stream and wetland habitat restoration project on a Nature Conservancy preserve. Be prepared for muddy and wet conditions and darkness; bring a headlamp or flashlight. Meet at The Nature Conservancy parking lot south of Barneveld: from 18/151 take County Road K south for about 2 miles; the lot will be on your right, marked by a sign.
Registration is free and strongly recommended so we can contact you in case of poor weather (too cold or rainy). Contact Katie Abbott for more information, to register, or to check for cancellation: (608) 930-3252, (608) 553-2822 (cell), or email@example.com.
Do You Know a Child Who Could Use More Time in Nature?
This June your child or granchild will have the opportunity to experience nature, join in outdoor activities, and reflect on the natural world through the Driftless Explorers Club!
Kids ages 6-11 will share an exciting outdoor experience that just might spark a lifelong love of nature.
The Conservancy and local outdoor experts are creating five days of hikes, games, crafts, stories, and plenty of supervised free play for your child to explore, imagine, and have fun in nature! For more details or to register, download the registration form. If you have any questions please call our office at (608) 930-3252.
